So, I recently had the absolute pleasure of painting at Chatsworth flower show! Despite the rain I had an incredible time and got to paint lots of pretty flowery things, so decided to show you my top 5 favourite flowery designs that I painted over the 5 days!
5, Bee Design
We had quite a few requests for bee's this week, and it's not actually something I have been asked to paint before so I came up with this quick little bee design with a small flower at the corner of her eye and some lovely bio-degradable glitter
Adults aren't always the easiest people to paint, and the main reason is because they don't know what they want! We had quite a few of these at Chatsworth, and when I get people that don't know what they want, one of the questions I ask is what sort of colours do you like? Purple seemed to be a very popular option and Lily's seemed to be a great solution! They aren't something I paint all that frequently, but I was very inspired by Bianca Hannah-Lawton, an American Face Painter who does gorgeous lilies all the time!
Who doesn't love roses right? I am a big fan of roses, and they are something I am asked to paint quite regularly, wether for an adult on the side of their eye, or for a child as part of a butterfly or a flower crown! Top it off with a bit of bio-degradable glitter and there you have it!
Daisies are something I have only recently started to paint, but since I have started painting them, I just can't seem to stop! Wether it's making an eye design solely dedicated to daisies, or incorporating them as part of a cluster of flowers. I think they're cute, so I'm going to paint them on anyone who will let me!
1, petal spray
I love this design. It's super quick, simple and very impactful. This design is chosen by people of all ages and looks amazing on it's own or topped with some bio degradable glitter. It's one of the first floral designs I learnt, and I will continue to use it for the rest of my career!
We had a bonus butterfly on my last blog, so here are some bonus flowers! These are my new friends, Pinky Perky, Lady Marmalade, Caliope and Penelope (every good plants needs a name right?). I mean, it would have been impossible for me to spend the whole week at the flower show and come away empty handed, they would have felt unloved...
I hope you have found something on this post that you have enjoyed. If you have a favourite flower or a flower design you would like to see let me know in the comments!
